Richmond Palace

Richmond Palace, pre-Tudor period, was known as the palace of Sheen. Henry I, Edward I, Edward III, Richard II, and Henry V all were past residents. It was not until December 23, 1497, when a fire destroyed the palace that Henry VII rebuilt it and named it Richmond Palace. The Palace no longer remains, but certain Tudor structures still survives.
