Windsor castle is the largest occupied castle in the world. It is one of the official residences of the Queen, and dates back to 1075 when William the Conqueror built a castle overlooking the Thames River.
On the site rests St. George’s chapel, which was started by Edward VI and finished by Henry VIII. It is the resting place of 10 soverigns, including Henry VIII and the only wife that bore him a son, Jane Seymour. Also buried there are Queen Elizabeth The Queen mother, along with her husband, George VI.
