Tudor History: Boston is a brand new interest group based here in the city of Boston! Join a fun bunch of young (or young-minded!) Bostonians who love both Tudor History and Showtime’s hit TV show, The Tudors!

Our backgrounds are varied, but in addition to the Tudors, we seemed to be united by the following questions…perhaps you are too!!

-Are you sick of being the closet Tudor nerd within a 10 mile radius of where you live?
- Are you tired of paying $20/month for Showtime just to watch the Tudors ALONE or with that annoying boyfriend who makes silly comments?
- Have you wanted to watch Genevieve Bujold and Richard Burton on a huge projection screen but was never able to?
- Have you read a good Tudor book and just had nobody to discuss the juicy sexy details with?
- Have you ever needed somebody to vent to about the historical inaccuracies of Hollywood Tudor movies?
- Do you want to cook and eat Tudor period food?
- Are you sick of your rooomates insisting that Grey’s Anatomy and Lost are the only good shows on TV, when you know The Tudors reign all?
- Are you getting the cabin fever from the cold New England winter and just want out and make new friends?

If you said yes to any of these, then you have no excuse to attend our next event!

In the upcoming months we’ll also explore feature films, discuss Henry VIII 500th anniversary conferences and engage in a Tudor book swap! The group is new, so come to our next meeting and help shape the group.

Our eventual goal is to get enough members interested in taking TRIPS together to the UK and actually see some Tudor places!
